Hanging out in Kingston

drspleen attended to various fillial duties. At lunch we hauled our weary carcases down the road to Kingston, where we met up R and her equally weary self. We then spent the remains of the day mooching around in cafes, pubs, and, eventually, a restaurant, spending almost nothing, nursing toasties and teas and coffees and beers, and casting misanthropic aspersions on the office workers out on Christmas parties.
After stuffing ourselves with pizza, cheesecake and the sort of chocolate pudding that dares not speak its name, we retreated, tired but happy to the bus station and parts beyond, with R complaining all the while that she couldn't remember the last time she'd eaten quite so much in one go. What a lightweight!
