BBC Radio goes all SF

Caught a trail for BBC Radio's Science Fiction Drama series this morning — the radio one and not the utterly terrifying TV one, thank God — and I'm seriously looking forward to it. After a quick initial skim, I think my standout highlights have got to be:

• A.C. Clarke's Rendezvous with Rama in the classic serial slot from the 1st.
• Mike Walker's Alpha on the 3rd, which, as I've mentioned before, I think is quite superb.
• Iain M. Banks' The State of the Art as the afternoon play on the 5th.

But the rest of the season looks pretty good too.
