For one reason and another, my immediate colleagues and I ran our personalities through a Myers Briggs test. The results were:

  • I came out as INTP
  • W and the faciliator were ENFPs
  • Everyone else was ISTJs

None of which is terribly surprising — the INTP profile does seem to fit me like a glove — but it does go quite a long way towards explaining why I sometimes seem to rub my colleagues up the wrong way...

I also usually come out as an INTP but
the Myers Briggs test is rather dubious, as is anything Jungian...

For a scientific account of the subject,
I highly recommand the reading of "Personality" by Daniel Nettle.

I bet you will come out of a Big Five test with a high neurotic profile. :)
( No worries, I do too )

I did the Guardian test at the weekend and, although I scored highly for neuroticism, openness actually won it for me, probably because the two determining questions were: are you likely to use long words; and likely to think about philosophical issues...

The test looks quite simple but it correlates at more than 80% with the answers of the full 200 questions questionnaire.

The short test was wrong for me only on extraversion, I scored high because I like to plan parties.
In the longer test, I scored medium.
