Caught up in the Great West Run

Wandering around town this morning, I found myself, not entirely voluntarily, watching the Great West Run.
Having foolishly crossed the High Street to walk through Princesshay, I found myself stuck when the peloton — or whatever the running equivalent is — started passing along Sidwell Street and round Southernhay. Luckly, I'd picked an interesting time to get stuck because, just as the main bunch of runners were coming through town for their first lap, the leaders were looping through for their second and it was interesting to see the difference in pace and style of the two groups.
