Marx and mustelids
Jun. 2nd, 2009 09:59 pmToday's big story at work: someone saw something that looked like a ferret walking from the bus stop towards the trees, causing much speculation about which bus route it had taken.
In other news, I decided not to go to the lunchtime discussion on The Communist Manifesto on the grounds of ignorance and an affected disinterest in the works of Marx — I've read parts of Capital, which I actually thought rather good, but only because a working familiarity with Marx's terminology seems to be a pre-requisite for much of modern political philosophy. But still, it's wonderful that we have a group of people who are willing to give up their lunch to sit around and talk about Marx in earnest tones.
