Osborne's Rachmaninov

On the strength of Andrew Clement's review in the Guardian a while back, I picked up a copy of Steven Osborne's set of the Rachmaninov's Preludes on Hyperion. And wow. Osborne's performances are wonderfully nuanced and subtle, bringing out details that aren't always quite as obvious in Ashkenazy's brilliant but slightly more orthodox approach.

Astonishing stuff.
