I'm amazed by Daniel Hannan's quoted remark that he wouldn't wish the NHS on anyone. He wouldn't even recommend it to the 46 million Americans (this is Guardian's quoted figure) without health insurance? And he wouldn't recommend it to middle class Americans driven into conniptions at the mere thought of losing their job related health insurance? Or those with serious medical conditions that are not covered by their insurance?
