Today has been seriously overshadowed by the imminent fimbulwinter due to hit the south of England this evening. It's amazing how excited lapsed meteorologists seem to get about such things, scrutinising the radar, scouring the latest model output for clues, and trying to work out whether they might be able to legitimately claim tomorrow as a snow day.
