A bad day to volunteer

Mater has been out doing environmental stuff with her volunteer group, despite the arctic wind and freezing rain. She looked truly miserable when she finally got home. So to cheer her up, we watched the final episode of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy — we've been watching two episodes a night with me acting as guide, answering my mother's queries about the plot and reminding my father which character is which.
