Honing my crossword skills

In my continuing quest to improve my cryptic crossword skills, I took a bash at today's effort from Paul, whom I normally consider to be far beyond my limited abilities. And rather to my surprise, I was able to made a pretty decent fist of it.

My favourite clues? Question in case romance is hopeless without its physical side (5-7) and Take poor clue as wee (9) (cross-examine and minuscule, respectively). My favourite new bit of knowledge? Learning of the existence of the clade nudibranchia.
