sawylI'd forgotten just how good Dvořák's 9th Symphony can sound in the right hands.
Dvořák isn't composer I listen to a lot and I come to think of the 9th as nothing more than an extended Hovis advert. But listening to tonight's prom performance with the Andris Nelsons and the CBSO made me realise that it's actually a cracking piece and that I really ought to give the other symphonies another chance.
