Proms: Sondheim at 80

sawylI'm never entirely sure whether I like Sondheim or not. In theory, I should like him. I like vocal music. I like witty lyrics. But somehow I remain an agnostic. Still, tonight's prom went a fair way towards winning me over. The ensemble pieces were particularly strong and Bryn Terfel as Sweeney Todd? Fantastic.
