Lunching and questing

Midday meet-up for snacks and caffeine at the BTP with visitors from Elsewhere who'd stopped to take advantage of Exeter's thrift and guitar stores. There was the usual chit-chat, much of it food and cookery related, while we attempted to catch each other up on the latest bits and pieces of gossip.
I spent the rest of the afternoon pottering around in search of something interesting to read. I was after a copy of Farah Mendlesohn's Rhetorics of Fantasy but the central library let me down — I wonder if there's some way I can get access to the university library? — and my local bookshops don't seem to stock much in the way of lit crit, so I went home defeated and continued my slog through GRRM's A Game of Thrones.
