For Palm Sunday, the dramatic chorus Herr, unser Herrscher that begins the St John Passion, as performed at the Proms in 2008 by the English Baroque Soloists and the Monteverdi Choir conducted by John Eliot Gardiner, with (eventually) Mark Padmore as the Evanglist and Peter Harvey as Christ:

There's something about the anguished urgency of the opening that never fails to get to me.
