Have we reached the nadir yet?
Jul. 6th, 2011 09:13 pmI didn't think the evidence of the News of the World phone hacking could get much worse, but the revelations of the last couple of days have proven me sadly wrong.
I find myself shocked (but not terribly surprised) by the naivety of the PCC's reaction; shocked by the idea that the people at the top of NI might hang on (I doubt they'd excuse a error by a government ministry just because the minister happened to be on holiday at the time); and shocked by the idea that, with all this going on, the government seems quite content to allow News Corp to buy up bits of BSkyB it doesn't already own.
Yes, I'm shocked. And I'm a cynic.
