At the Clay Cutters Arms
Sep. 17th, 2011 11:55 pmFive of us crammed ourselves into
doctor_squale's Citroen and headed out for supper in Chudleigh Knighton. Despite carrying a lot of extra load, the car managed to make it over Haldon and we arrived just in time to meet C in the car park of the Clay Cutters Arms. The food was good — I had a celery and nut cutlet, while everyone else opted for dishes with more dead animal in them — and the vegetables, the carrots and the red cabbage in particular, were a big hit. After rounding off with puddings — apple crumble for me, chocolate mousse and Eton mess for everyone else — we jammed ourselves back into the car for the rainy but uneventful (ignoring M's attempts to get himself ejected for backseat driving) trip back to Exeter.
