On non-specific parties
Sep. 23rd, 2011 11:54 pmEarly start in an attempt to finish off this week's to-do list: writing up notes from yesterday's meeting; checking the plan for next week's hardware maintenance; and working up the last few details of the new addressing scheme — thanks to evolutionary convergence, the three of us working on the plan seem to have independently arrived at very similar solutions. After an early finish — I'm well over my hours for this week — I went home to catch up on some tedious domestic drudgery and to go out for a bike ride before tonight's engagements.
Spent the evening at a non-birthday party at what might just be my local, if I went in for such things, with the usual crowd plus a diversity others. I hadn't planned to stay for long — I'm still fairly tired after yesterday's late (for me) finish — but it was fun and I ended up leaving much later than I'd intended: something that I suspect I'll regret first thing tomorrow...
