A brief trip to London

Spent the morning pottering around and catching up on things before catching the train to Paddington in the middle of the afternoon. Through sheer fluke, I managed to catch one of the services that runs fast from Taunton to Reading, shaving half an hour off the journey time. Then it was tube to Oxford Circus, Warren Street, and another change at Camden Town before finally getting to Chalk Farm.

When the rest of the clan got back, we had an early supper — takeout from Pizza Express — giving pater time to finish off the last few bits and pieces of the food for tomorrow, before heading to bed relatively early.
