End of an era with MJT disappearing off into early retirement. The place won't be the same without him: he was always the person you went to if you wanted to get something done because if he couldn't do it himself, he knew who could and exactly which strings he needed to pull to get them to do it.

As he was leaving, he made a throw-away remark about having to leave because he still cleared his desk. I think he was joking but having seen the stuff he left behind in Bracknell, to be trashed along with the building, have a feeling there may have been more than a bit of truth to it...
