sawyl | An abrupt change in travel plans

I'd been planning and preparing to go back to the Midlands this afternoon, but I've shelved my plans in light of the worsening weather warnings with a view to travelling on Monday instead. Happily for my conscience, G has also cried off: she's gone down with a cold and won't be flying down for the weekend after all.

Just as well: travelling by train in a snowpocalypse one only risks getting stuck in a snowdrift between Cheltenham and Birmingham; travelling by plane, one risks being stacked up over BHX while the people on the ground frantically try to clear the snow and ice off the runway...
