Climbing and dragon watching
Jul. 7th, 2013 06:10 pmAgainst my better judgement, I went climbing. As expected, the place was almost completely empty and uttery sweltering — some of the obs put the temperature in the low 30s.
After putting in enough time to crack a couple of the newer routes and bouldering problems within my range and to justify going down, I walked back along the river, taking in the sights of this year's dragon boat meeting on the Exe.

Fortunately, this meant that my natty sporting ensemble — spandex top, running shorts, and sunhat — blended in with the crowd and I didn't feel nearly as self-conscious as I did walking back through town last week. Let's hope my sunblock holds up to all the exercise and I don't end up with horribly sun burn...
