Prompted by todays Sunday Morning on R3, I've found a recording of Lorraine Hunt Lieberson singing Urlicht from Mahler's Second Symphony:

Very beautiful and distinctively different from Rattle's 1986 superlative recording with Janet Baker — still the standard by which all other Mahler 2s are judged.
