Charmingly spooky night out

sawylA fun evening of Halloween related stuff, even if we didn't dress up — or, more charitable, we went as serial killers because, in the words of Wednesday Addams, they look just like normal people! But the people who did dress up really made a serious effort: lots of facepaint and spandex, more than a few zombies, a mummy — not terribly practical for the lav, I'd imagine! — and AM was rocking a very fine gothic angel/vampire look complete with wings and a dark halo.
The spicy veggie pizza complete with yummy chunks of roasted pumpkin we had for supper reminded me of how much I like it — I'm definitely going to try and dust off a few pumpkin recipes over the weekend — and, eating under orange fairy lights & spooky faux-cobwebs & paper ghosts, rounded the evening out nicely.
ETA: I asked and it turns out AM was the Angel of Death. She said she'd want to do a scary fairy thing, but she hadn't been able to find the right wand...
