General climbing awesomeness

After a late start, we all headed down to the quay for a spot of climbing. We put in a good session and I managed a second successful complete of a 6a+ that I'd done once and failed to do on subsequent attempts, and put in some work on a few of my challenges. R, on the other hand, was on seriously good form and finally — finally! — managed to complete her nemesis route after months of trying and choking on the same move. Excelsior!

R being awesome and Amazonian on a 5+

R looking characteristically poised on something short and easy

Yours Truly making light work of a 5

ETA: Yours Truly working an arĂȘte on a 6a+. Provided as part of the proof that I really can get past the seemingly impossible overhang!
And, because we had someone wielding a camera we have actual photographic evidence of stuff. Not, obviously of R's Big Send — pater was in the cafe reading the paper at the time! — but we've got a few snaps of some other bits and pieces:

After climbing we had a relaxed lunch at the Waterfront, R went home to take the dog out for a comfort break, and the rest of us wandered home, stopping off in John Lewis on the way to check out furniture — the parents obviously wanting a way to avoid having to sit on the floor in future. We failed to buy any cakes for tea — just as well considering lunch and supper! — but I really ought to ask around to see where people recommend for such things, ready for the family's next visit...
