Sunday dynos
Nov. 16th, 2014 08:19 pmAnother fun afternoon of bouldering. I picked up a few points but I think I've now moved past the point where I'm able to score anything other than singles but, unlike previous rounds, I think I'm going to follow E's example and keep working things for every last point.
My favourite problem of the afternoon featured a series of four dishes and four holds — two at the the start and two at the end — and not a lot in between. After much messing around, including a couple of rare successful dynos on my part, I eventually got it sent by going over the top and dropping down onto the last volume — more psychologically than technically demanding — and campusing for the last hold. Which not only got me to the end but also got me some positive feedback from a couple of on-lookers — who must've arrived unnoticed once I was up, because there's no way I'd I've attempted it if I'd known I'd had an audience...
