Freedom to: positive news

I'm happy to be able to report that my earlier pessimism about my essay was misplaced and I now think that I've basically broken the back of the thing. I've still got to give it a serious polish and try to come up with a good example of state repression — I hope I'll be able to think of a good one from The Handmaid's Tale, the fountainhead of all things distopian — but, as of now at least, I'm feeling supremely confident.
