Got a lift home with W, in Exeter for a birthday meal, hurried home from Fore Street, picked up my stuff and rushed down to the Quay for a spot of reasonably quiet bouldering before the place got busy. Immediately after arriving, I suffered a massive dip in my energy levels — the cheese and onion pasty I had for lunch had obvious been burnt up in my dash across town — and I had to refuel with a protein bar that may have been more than a bit reminiscent of sugary cardboard but which certainly hit the spot.
