Final leg of our return

Slept through almost all of the flight, including take-off, waking briefly for food. I returned to consciousness at around time I usually get up in the UK in an attempt to reset my body clock back to something approaching local time. The journey was smooth and uneventful, although we had to make a couple of loops round over Reading and the various reservoirs west of London while waiting for a slot to free up at Heathrow. Not that I'm complaining: the weather was good and aerial views, especially of Hampton Court, were pretty spectacular.

After a certain amount of confusion - our taxi driver had been given the wrong terminal information - we met our lift back to Exeter and made good time. I managed to stay awake for the journey - although honesty compels me to admit that there were moments when my eyelids felt very heavy - but now I'm back in what was my working day in the US, I'm through the worst of it but not entirely unhappy that I haven't had to follow through with this afternoon's activities.
