Incorrect allusion?
Sep. 14th, 2007 04:36 pmI accuse today's Guardian of an allusational error. In a piece about Rachel Unthank and the Winterset, the interview says:
Their pale skin and long, dark hair reflect a little of the gothic quality of their fabulous surname, and it is easy to imagine them as the twin heroines of some strange Poe fantasy.
Poe? Surely the correct literary nod would have been to reference Alasdair Grey...
