A reading and radio day
Jan. 25th, 2009 08:48 pmA day of gentle reading, listening to the radio and general stress avoidance. In a moment of confusion, I re-read The Honor of the Queen which I last read in 2007, when I should really have read The Short Victorious War, which I haven't read for quite a while.
Then, with my cache of suitable reading matter exhausted — I was going to read The Passion of New Eve, but I decided I wasn't up to it — I picked up a copy of Paul McAuley's The Quiet War, largely on Al Reynolds' recommendation and, so far at least, I haven't been disappointed.
