Shadow Unit
Jan. 23rd, 2010 11:35 amI'm not sure why it's taken me quite this long to discover Shadow Unit — I've known about it since Bear first mentioned it a year or two ago — but now I've finally found time to dig into it properly. And I'm very impressed.
The basic premise is of a series of stories for a TV show where a group of FBI behaviour experts investigate people who have been granted extraordinary abilities and, not coincidentally, been warped into murderous monsters by something called the Anomaly. It's described as being part Man from U.N.C.L.E., part X-Files, part Criminal Minds. But in written form. And better.
It's the perfect TV show for a book nerd who doesn't really like TV all that much...
