Thanksgiving meal: a report
Nov. 25th, 2005 01:42 amMeal, or at least the veggie option, was pretty good despite the noticeably poor showing from the Menagerie. The evening started off in Kino, moved on to the Cat in the Hat for victuals and then back to Kino for a sundowner. Over dinner we discussed the UK transportation system, the current French fashion for burning cars, the precise number of takes required to record Miles Davis' Kind of Blue, modern French classical music from Olivier Messiaen to Kaija Saariaho and various other matters. A fine evening was had by all, especially those, such as Yours Truly, who had already arranged to take Friday off.
